Nine Mustang athletes signed letters of intent on Wednesday, this year’s version of national signing day.
Three signed for football, three signed for baseball and three signed for soccer, including three signing to play at the Division 1 level.
Quarterback Chandler Garrett, defensive back Kiante Miles and tight end Bryce Roberts put pen to paper, making it official on Wednesday. Garrett signed with Wyoming University, Miles with Macalester College in St Paul, Minn. and Roberts with New Mexico State University. The three helped lead Mustang to the Class 6A-1 playoffs in the fall.
Midfielder Jaci Jones, goal keeper Madison Donihoo and defender Kelsey Bumgarner will take their talents to the next level. Jones signed with Oklahoma State University, Donihoo with Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City and Bumgarner with Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
Baseball players Cade Fulton, Jakob Hammer and Hayden Woolsey will hit the diamond next year with two local colleges. Fulton signed with Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and Hammer and Woolsey each signed with Southwestern Christian University in Bethany.
