Head Coach
Katie Bass
Record 99-75Head Coach Katie Bass:
Coach Katie Bass is from Edmond, Oklahoma. She played basketball for Edmond Santa Fe High School, her father Paul Bass was her coach. She still holds the record for the most three’s in a game which was 8. After high school she went on to play collegiate basketball at Panhandle State University. She finished out her degree at University of Central Oklahoma in Physical Education and Health. She was the head girl’s basketball coach at US Grant High School 2009-2011. She then went on to be her father Paul Bass’s assistant at Edmond Santa Fe High School. Paul Bass won back to back state championships in 2011 and 2012. State runner-up in 2013. In 2015 she went on the become the head girls’ basketball coach at Midwest City Highschool. Her first year as head coach at MCHS Coach Bass lead her team to a 6a State Champions. She was at MCHS for 4 years and her record was 72-31. She has three beautiful children, Keegan is in 10th grade at Mustang HS this year, Kamryn is a 9th grader at Mustang HS and Khloe is in 3rd grade at Lakehoma. She is getting married in April of 2021 to Bryon Smith, which is her biggest fan and support. She loves her church and helping the community as much as she can. Her favorite quote is “Practice the boring stuff”. #GID (GET IT DONE) Words from Coach Bass “I love coaching these young ladies and bringing my fast pace defensive philosophy. I am so excited and blessed to be apart of this loving Mustang community. I love teaching the game but also helping young ladies off the court be role models and that education comes first! I also take these girls into their community to do community service. Its more than basketball.” Go Lady Broncos!
