Cross Country

Coach McGarry is married to Gina and they have two grown children. He grew up in Southern California where he was a member of his High School’s State Championship Cross Country team. He ran CC and Track at Oklahoma Christian before coming to Mustang in 1980. He started the MHS Boys Soccer program in 1985 coaching them to 3 Conference titles in his 17-year tenure, 14 as the head coach and 3 as the JV coach. 18 members of those teams earned All State Honors.

During 2019 – 2022 he coached the Boys Track and Field team with the team earning 3rd place at State in 2021.

In 1991 he started coaching CC and continues today. He has helped coach 6 State Championship teams, 4 State Runner up teams, 2 Academic State Championship teams and 6 Individual State Champions who have won 11 Individual State Titles. Since ’91 the teams have had 51 All State runners. The Boys were the 6A State Runner up last year.

Coach Osborne has been coaching at Mustang for 10 seasons. During that time, he has coached Cross Country, Track and Field, and Golf. This will be his 12th year teaching at Mustang High School. Coach Osborne ran cross country and played golf in high school for Tahlequah High School. He has continued his passion for running into his adult life. Coach Osborne went to college and played golf for Oklahoma Baptist University for 2 years before completing his degree with a major in Zoology at Oklahoma State University. He has 4 children with his wife Brittany. Alexis, Bentley, Miles and Brylee.

The Mustang Girls Cross Country team has many accomplishments through the years. The team is currently holding a 27 year streak of competing at the state meet. Along those years, the program has 3 State Championships, 1 state runner-up, 3 Regional championships, and 17 Conference Championships. The girls program also has 4 individual state champion titles.
