Head Girls Soccer Coach
Shana Gulikers

Shana is in her first year at Mustang High School, coming from Oklahoma Celtic, a local soccer club. She has coached club soccer for the past 16 years at the Academy, Competitive, ECNL and ECRL levels. And she continues to coach club soccer at Oklahoma Celtic serving as the Associate Academy Director and coaching 2 Academy teams.
She grew up playing for Sting Soccer Club and played soccer for Southlake Carroll High School in Dallas. Coach Gulikers played collegiate Division 1 Soccer at the University of Oklahoma leading the team in assists in 2004 & 2007 and game winning goals in 2006 and was tied for 4th on OU Single Season Assists Leader and tied for 7th on OU Single Season Game Winning Goals Leader. She has had the honor to aid and educate numerous student-athletes in their college recruiting process and attain scholarships to play at the next level (Division I – NAIA Schools).
Shana currently holds her USSF B Coaching License (attained in 2022), La Liga Methodology Level 3 (attained in 2018), USSF C Coaching License (attained in 2017), and USSF D Coaching License (attained in 2009).
In her free time, Shana enjoys spending time with her family, husband Ronnie and children Christian and Kenzie. She also enjoys watching and playing sports, staying active, traveling, gardening, and being a mom!
Assistant Coach
Melissa Rother
RecordMelissa Rother is a returning varsity coach for her 11th season with the Lady Broncos. She has coached at the youth, club, and high school levels. Coach Rother played soccer for Norman High School and Oklahoma City University and was the first female soccer player inducted into the OCU Hall of Fame. This year she will complete her 25th year in teaching, 20 of them being at Lakehoma Elementary. Melissa and her husband Ryan have been happily married for 23 years. They have two boys, Cole and Jake, both Mustang soccer players. Cole graduated from Mustang in 2022 and Jake is a Senior this year.
Assistant Coach
Alissa Jones
RecordAlissa is in her first year at Mustang High School, coming from Oklahoma Energy Soccer Club, a local soccer club. She has coached club soccer for the past several years at the Academy and Competitive levels. And she continues to coach club soccer at OEFC. Alissa also coaches at Oklahoma City FC, a WPSL team here in OKC.
She played soccer for Mustang High School. Coach Jones played collegiate Division 1 Soccer at Troy University where she is the all time leader in Assists (17), Shots (245), Shots on Goal (104), and Game Winning Goals (12). Alissa also holds Single Season Records of Assists (10), Points (34), Shots (95), Shots on Goal (42), and Game Winning Goals (7) and was named All Sunbelt Conference First Team in 2014 & 2015.
In her free time, Alissa loves to paint, make pottery, garden, cook, and spend time with her family. She stays busy chasing her 5 year old around and loves being a mom.
